Why we write

Most audio tutorials jump to plugins and skip the console. But the settings you make before the computer — input gain, EQ cuts, bus routing — decide how much rescue work the mix needs later. We write about that part.

How we test

Guides are tested on budget consoles and interfaces in real, imperfect rooms. If a tip needs treated walls or a $3000 channel strip, we label it. Everything else works in a bedroom studio.
